The affected products were sold in Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.

Customers with the affected product should immediately discard it or return it to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund. No receipt is required, according to Lidl.

Symptoms of Salmonella Poisoning

Symptoms usually start six hours to six days after ingesting the bacteria. Common symptoms include diarrhea, fever and stomach cramps, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Most healthy people recover in four to seven days without treatment. But adults 65 and older and people with weakened immune systems may experience more severe illness requiring medical treatment or hospitalization.

The CDC advises contacting a health care professional for diarrhea with a fever higher than 102 degrees Fahrenheit, diarrhea lasting more than three days without improvement, bloody diarrhea, vomiting that prevents keeping liquids down, or signs of dehydration such as infrequent urination, dry mouth and throat, or dizziness when standing.
