This MacKenzie-Childs Lamp Completed My Fall Kitchen

My first true ‘big girl’ purchase as an interiors-obsessed person – finally with the job to prove it – was a Mackenzie-Childs kettle. It’s a classic gateway. Since then, I’ve slowly rounded out my collection of the brand’s signature Courtly Check across the kitchen: holding tea bags, utensils, and oatmeal I’ll probably never actually cook.

I didn’t realize anything was missing until I spotted the LED Rechargeable Disk Table Lamp in a matching pattern, nearly half off at just $129.99.

Being a portable lamp, you could, of course, use it just about anywhere – from outdoor dinner parties and bedside tables to bathroom vanities. But for me, Mackenzie-Childs belongs in the kitchen. What better way to make one feel cozier for fall than with this petite patterned lamp casting a warm glow over the stove, catching every other Courtly Check piece scattered around the room?

Don’t feel married to just one colorway. Mackenzie-Childs’ Rechargeable Disk Table Lamp only grows more charming the more you mix and match.

I’m clearly partial to the black-and-white original, but there are six more colorways to choose from. Emerald plays beautifully with terracottas, aubergines, and every other autumnal shade you fancy, while the newly released ‘Sky’ – a soft, airy blue that debuted this past May – offers something a little fresher.
