The Cheapest Fully Loaded Midsize SUV for 2026
Brand-new cars can get extremely pricey in 2026, and fully loaded final-configuration models are even more expensive.
Luckily for drivers, some fully loaded midsize family SUVs cost less than the nearly $50,000 average new-vehicle price. Drivers can still get an affordable family SUV loaded with useful features without breaking the bank.
The Cheapest Fully Loaded Midsize SUV
South Korean automaker Kia makes the cheapest fully loaded midsize SUV for 2026: the Kia Sorento X-Pro SX Prestige AWD.
The 2026 Kia Sorento X-Pro SX Prestige AWD starts at $47,790, making it one of the few final-trim midsize family SUVs to cost less than $50,000. It uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to produce 281 horsepower. The Sorento final trim achieves 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Kia’s midsize family SUV has a 17.7-gallon tank and can travel around 477 miles on the highway before needing to refuel. It has 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row. The final trim seats six because the second row features captain’s chairs instead of a bench seat.
While the second row is roomy, the third row is snug and may not be suitable for most adults, especially on long drives.
What Comes Standard?
The Kia Sorento X-Pro SX Prestige AWD comes standard with heated and ventilated front leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, all-terrain tires, all-wheel drive, a heated steering wheel and SynTex suede headliner. It also features 12.3-inch dual panoramic displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital key, a premium audio system and a blind-spot and 360-degree surround-view monitor.
Kia’s fully loaded midsize family SUV includes smart cruise control with stop-and-go and machine learning; front, rear and side parking sensors; a full-digital-display rearview mirror; automatic emergency braking with evasive-steering assist; and rear parking collision-avoidance assist.
When it comes to standard features, the Sorento X-Pro SX Prestige AWD is the most well-equipped version of the 2026 Sorento. Its technology, driver assistance and safety features may improve the SUV’s overall driving and ownership experience.
Another Kia Worth Considering
Kia’s fully loaded Sorento may come with a long list of features, but another midsize Kia SUV is worth considering.
The 2027 Kia Telluride starts at $39,190. It uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to produce 274 horsepower and achieves around 23 mpg combined.
The Telluride can comfortably seat up to eight passengers. It has more legroom and cargo space than the Sorento, thicker acoustic glass for a quieter ride and a more premium cabin.
The 2027 Kia Telluride’s final trim may not be as affordable as the fully loaded Sorento, but its SX trim ($48,790) delivers many of the same features and superior cabin quality at around the same price point.
