Midea Appliances Could Learn Your Habits With Smart Master
As Europe’s biggest trade show, IFA, kicks off, Midea has launched an ecosystem of home appliances that will do more than just function. It brings something it calls the Smart Master to Berlin, which is an AI-powered connected home platform that bridges different appliances together by a single, intuitive system.
As consumers demand appliances with intelligent features and seamless connectivity, Midea plays on with this new ecosystem, which it has been perfecting over the last year, after a brief first introduction at IFA 2025.
Smart Master is primarily conceived to make everyday living more convenient, and it finds its way into a range of Midea appliances, including air conditioners, refrigerators, and other smart devices. Its abilities are on display at Hall 5.1, Messe Berlin, Germany, from September 4 to September 8 at IFA 2026.
At the core, the Midea Smart Master is a collection of intelligent technologies embedded into a range of Midea appliances that can understand the user, adjust usage accordingly, and even communicate with each other for an output that feels impressive. Instead of treating each appliance as a separate device, it gives connected devices the intelligence to be aware of their surroundings, connect to one another, and adapt to needs of the people using them, creating a cohesive experience at home.
The intention from Midea is pretty apparent. It wants Midea appliances we have at home, the refrigerators, the ovens, the air conditioners, the fans, the vacuum cleaners, et al. to follow commands, understand the context, and adapt to the way we live at home. Using the Midea smart home app, users can control connected appliances, while the system itself allows different devices to coordinate their functions based on daily routines and changing requirements.
Smart Master makes this possible with the integration of AI and real-time data processing. It can learn your habits and preferences, and then allow the connected appliances to follow and operate accordingly. Resulting in what Midea describes as “smarter living space powered by AI that cares,” which is based on the idea of convenience, optimized performance and power consumption without compromising comfort.
Midea is expected to demonstrate how the Smart Master is being applied across its appliances at IFA through its Avigator series air conditioners, French door refrigerators, Laundry Suite, Steam oven, Robotic Vacuum Cleaner V12, Built-In Gas Hob, and the Bladeless Fan. Taken together, these appliances would give a clear idea of what Midea is attempting with the Smart Master cohesive ecosystem powered by AI.
