Maple Leaf Foods has recalled over 12,000 pounds of bacon imported to the United States from Canada due to an import violation, according to a notice from the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The products were “imported from Canada without the benefit of import reinspection into the United States,” the FSIS stated in its July 24 notice.
