Veritas to acquire Greenbelt-backed Saber Power Services

Veritas Capital announced an agreement to acquire Saber Power Services, a power infrastructure services company, from Greenbelt Capital Management. Key members of Saber’s management team will retain a minority stake in the company. 

Founded in 2010, Houston-based Saber Power is a vertically integrated power infrastructure services platform that helps customers build, modernize and maintain critical electrical systems. Saber serves the energy, industrial, utility and technology markets. 

Today, Saber Power’s services support critical electrical infrastructure serving 160 million end users in the US and global markets. 

“Together, we have expanded Saber’s capabilities, strengthened its market position and built a differentiated platform serving some of the nation’s most critical power infrastructure needs,” Chris Murphy, partner at Greenbelt Capital, said in a statement. 

The transaction is expected to close in Q4, subject to customary closing conditions, including applicable regulator

Greenbelt acquired Saber Power in 2023 from Oaktree Capital. PE Hub touched base with Murphy in late 2023 to go over the company’s add-on deal strategy.

Harris Williams served as financial adviser to Saber Power, with legal adviser Kirkland & Ellis. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher served as legal adviser to Veritas.
