Snow Peak Amenity Dome 3 has Separate Rainfly With Triangular Mesh Panels
The Snow Peak Amenity Dome has become a cult favorite over time with its convertible vestibule and wind-resistant design. However, its latest version takes that premium Japanese design excellence to a whole new level. The all-new Amenity Dome 3 now includes a symmetrical vestibule and an updated outer frame structure, which allows the rainfly to be used standalone. These updates, combined with existing features, create a tent that enhances the overall camping experience.
The first upgrade is in the outframe construction, where aluminum poles now insert directly into the rainfly sleeves. This opens up a new utility: using it as a sun shelter, and attaching the inner tent with included clips later. This is especially useful in case of a rainfall, as you can pitch the rainfly first to keep the inner tent dry.
Snow Peak says the vestibule has also been updated to a symmetrical design with arched doors on both sides, and integrated zippered side panels. You get active, cross-breezed ventilation through the outer layer even when the tent is zipped up tight against the weather.
As the name suggests, it is intended for camping with three people, ideally a family of two adults and one toddler. Measuring 8.7L x 8.7W x 4.8H feet, the inner tent provides enough space while the vestibule adds even more room for cooking or storage.

The inner tent offers 4.8 feet interior height, which might not seem like enough for standing, but is definitely the reason for its strong wind resistance. It would be best to place chairs inside the tent and enjoy the views through the vestibule.
As for the build quality, the rainfly features a 75D polyester shell with a PU waterproof coating that provides a 1,800 mm waterproof rating, while the inner tent walls are made from 68D polyester taffeta. At 19.9 lbs, the camping tent is surely suitable only for car camping.
