Remodelista Reconnaissance: A Cane-Back Rocker in a Designer’s Summer Bedroom
In keeping with this week’s Summer from the Archives issue, we’re diving (back) into a favorite Remodelista story to excavate the source of one particular detail. The project? A Colonial House in Bellport with Uncommon Style from French Designer C. S. Valentin. The detail? A lightweight cane rocking chair in the corner of a bedroom.

Above: Some sleuthing revealed the chair to be Ikea’s Grönadal. It’s been discontinued since our story on Valentin’s place first went live, but it can be found secondhand online on sites like AptDeco and 1stdibs.
