The deal adds approximately $282 million in revenue, six offices and 1,500 professionals, including 300 people from GT New Zealand, which linked up with GT Australia in December 2025.
“This transaction opens a new door for our platform’s growth — bringing us the leadership, talent and quality we need to further expand our singular model within the Asia-Pacific region,” said Jim Peko, CEO of Grant Thornton Advisors and leader of its multinational platform, in a statement Friday. “This is about building capabilities at scale across worldwide markets so we can move and grow with clients, while investing in the best technologies and creating even more opportunities for our people.”
GT Australia CEO Said Jahani will continue to lead the Australian firm and will also serve in a new role of CEO of the Asia-Pacific region within the platform. Jahani will also join the Executive Committee at Grant Thornton Advisors.
