Sentinel Capital Partners sells Revenew to Bernhard Capital Partners

Sentinel Capital Partners has sold Revenew International, a professional services firm specializing in cost recovery and performance improvement, to Bernhard Capital Partners, a private markets investment firm, the companies said.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Revenew helps organizations uncover value through contract compliance, supplier payment reviews, performance improvement, and sales and use tax recovery, serving blue-chip clients across the energy, utilities, manufacturing and other asset-intensive sectors. Since its founding, the company has helped clients generate more than $2 billion in hard-dollar savings and cost recoveries.

Sentinel, which invests in niche business services, consumer, healthcare services and industrials companies, has raised more than $11.2 billion of capital since its founding in 1995.

“The business scaled its audit and business development teams, entered new end markets, added new services, and invested deeply in technology,” said Cameron Smith, principal at Sentinel. “These initiatives helped Revenew exceed the goals we set at the outset of our partnership.”
