AgiBot’s New Humanoids at IFA Dance, Ride Bike, and Somersault
“Robotics will be a major theme, spanning home and business use,” at IFA 2026, my colleague noted in his story about the biggest tech trends to come out of Europe’s largest tech show. Humanoids were already one of the biggest stories at CES earlier this year. The tale continues at IFA with AgiBot displaying two humanoids, the X2 and A3, that combine fluid human-like movement and do somersaults, respectively.
AgiBot is one of the nine hundred odd Chinese exhibitors in Berlin, but of course, not the only one with robots to show. Arch rival and compatriot Unitree will be making its own headlines elsewhere in the event, but for now, it’s AgiBot in the news.
AgiBot debuted the A2 Series robot at CES, and we had the 152 lbs humanoid built for hospitality roles in museums, showrooms, etc., in our list of the best humanoids at the show back then. Now at IFA, the Chinese robotics company is unveiling the A3 and X2 series robots, which are more tailored at showcasing the abilities of bipedal and full-size humanoids.
AgiBot A2
The AgiBot X2 is a bipedal humanoid robot capable of human-like movement. The robot can move and navigate autonomously. The X2 is 1.31 m tall and a testament to what robotics and AI can do in unison. The robot can walk, run, and dance, avoiding obstacles and returning to the charging station automatically when the battery signals low.
AgiBot notes on its website that its bipedal robot is no ordinary dancer. It can pull off complex dance routines, making coordinated head movements in sync with voice interaction. For some outdoor fun, the X2 series robot can even ride a bicycle and balance on a hoverboard (now that’s beyond some things that even the human me can do).
More than movement, the AgiBot X2 is developing into a responsive human companion. To that end, it can pull off human-like interactions, responding through gestures, facial expressions, and head nods. Owing to its 31 degrees of freedom, range of motion, and versatile applications, the robot feels more alive than many others in development.
AgiBot A3
Pretty similar to the X2 in appearance, yet starkly different in approach, the AgiBot X3 is a full-size humanoid built 173 cm tall. It weighs 55 kg and is quite a sportsbot. It can perform somersaults with the suppleness of a gymnast, and throw punches and a few aerial kicks to put a hard training fighter to shame.
To keep going at what it’s doing, the robot is powered by about ten hours on two hot-swappable batteries. Unlike the X2, the A3 from AgiBot doesn’t carry LiDAR and depth cameras, so the robot can move, perform, and interact, but cannot do some household tasks like picking, sorting, or assembling. This is also because the robot’s hands are silicone shells rather than being designed for gripping.
There is no information on how AgiBot plans to price or when it intends to make these humanoids available. We will update here as and when information comes in, so do check back.
