Regimen Equity-backed Central Builders’ Supply acquires Lumberworld
- The deal includes Lumberworld’s underlying real estate, along with an adjacent parcel available for redevelopment
- CBS now operates seven locations across Vancouver Island, from Victoria to Campbell River
- The acquisition follows the recent opening of a new CBS location in Langford
Regimen Equity Partners‘ portfolio company Central Builders’ Supply has acquired substantially all the operating assets of Lumberworld Operations, along with the underlying real estate, in the Greater Victoria region of British Columbia.
Lumberworld, located near the intersection of Quadra and MacKenzie in Victoria, was established more than 50 years ago under the ownership of the Flaig family and has supplied building materials and construction products to homeowners, contractors and commercial customers throughout Greater Victoria. The transaction also includes an adjacent parcel of land available for redevelopment. With the addition, CBS now operates seven locations spanning Vancouver Island’s major markets, from Victoria to Campbell River, complementing the recent opening of a new CBS location in Langford.
“Lumberworld is a complementary location to our existing six Vancouver Island stores and we feel the timing of this acquisition will allow us to benefit from future improvement in the construction industry,” said Gerry Bellerive, managing director at Regimen.
