Coldwater Tiny House has Porch, Bedroom with Walk-in Closet

Carolina Custom Park Models has listed a new tiny home in its catalogue. Dubbed the Coldwater tiny house, the park model is built by Clayton Tiny Homes, the same manufacturer behind the Bankhead and DeSoto. Measuring 45 feet long and 12 feet wide, the Coldwater tiny house is mounted on a five-axle trailer. Owing to the extra width, the tiny home is not towable and must be stationed at a single destination.

The park model is finished with durable steel framing, Hardie-board siding, and a metal roof, with dual-pane windows on the side that maintain air circulation throughout the home. The main USP, however, is its porch.

Measuring eight feet in length, the porch functions as a transition zone between indoors and outdoors. What makes the space so special is its ability to accommodate a pair of sofas and a table for an outdoor lounge room look. The porch is wrapped in a cedar accent wall and fitted with a full-view glass door, allowing plenty of natural light to reach the living area.

Inside, the tiny house features a full bedroom, bathroom, living room, and loft within 399 square feet. Similar to the Wheeler tiny house, the living area sits under vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams running through the kitchen and living room.

The flooring is luxury vinyl plank, and the walls are smooth sheetrock finished with craftsman-style trim rather than the paneling more common in park models this size. Other features include LED recessed lighting throughout the main living space, with additional ceiling fan wiring and blinds included as standard.

From what we can see in the pictures, the living room isn’t furnished with a sofa or a centre table of that sort, and it is up to the dweller’s discretion how they want to arrange the seating. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen. Carolina Park Model Tiny Homes offers a choice of deep blue or grey hickory oak cabinets, paired with matte black hardware and a matte black gooseneck faucet.

One major missing feature is a central island that most Clayton Tiny Homes come equipped with. There is also no sign of appliances, presumably because it’s left to the dweller’s discretion too. Based on the look of the kitchen, it makes room for a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and a microwave. Among other features are a myriad of cabinets, a countertop, drawers, and a pantry, all contributing to space sufficiency.

Akin to the Donnybrook tiny house, a narrow galley connects the living space to the bedroom, passing the bathroom along the way. The bathroom splits into two sections. One area is dedicated to the vanity, toilet, and glass-enclosed shower, while the other area hosts the washer, dryer, and utility hookups.

The bedroom sleeps a couple and also features a closet for additional storage. An interesting addition here is that of a loft bedroom. Accessed via a removable ladder, the loft sleeps a couple and can be utilised as a storage room. Together, the two bedrooms sleep four people with ease.
