Govee Debuts New Outdoor Lights 2 Pro With 2-Layer Illumination

Govee has quickly risen the ranks in the smart lighting industry. Last year, the brand unveiled a host of smart home lighting at IFA 2065, including the Permanent Outdoor Lights Prism. This year, the brand is debuting its Permanent Outdoor Light 2 Pro, older sister to Govee Permanent Outdoor Light Pro, positioning AI-powered smart lighting at the center of your home, with an easy-to-use design tailored for everyday routines.

At IFA 2026, Govee Permanent Outdoor Light 2 Pro offers a stunning illumination solution for outdoor spaces. Described as an industry-first dual-layer lighting design, the newest addition to the brand’s portfolio is designed with two independently controlled IC chips in each light head, allowing you to display different colors and effects simultaneously in upper and lower lighting zones.

This particular feature works well for both everyday use and special occasions. You get more flexibility for seasonal décor, parties, or year-round outdoor ambiance. It also uses Govee’s LuminBlend + Color Management System for precise color reproduction and smoother transitions, making occasional lighting far more interesting than anything else on the market.

Similar to its predecessor, it can be used to outline the house’s exterior and highlight architectural lines flexibly. Unlike the predecessor, however, the 2 Pro version allows a single light head to produce two independently controlled color zones. This helps transform conventional one-dimensional lighting into a more expressive and layered experience that puts your input at center.

At its core, the Permanent Outdoor Light 2 Pro uses Govee’s innovative Layered Color Effect. Each light head, equipped with two independently controlled IC chips, has a precision 15-degree tilted base, helping create different effects. The pure forward-emitting optical structure creates cleaner light boundaries, significantly reducing stray light interference unlike traditional diffused structures.

When you want to create ambient scenarios for holidays and special occasions, LuminBlend + Color Management System enhances the lighting with accurate, vivid color reproduction. It creates flawless gradients from soft pastels to highly saturated tones, adding vibrance to your exterior décor.

You don’t even have to manually change the settings. AI Lighting Bot 2.0 recognizes the two light layers separately and can produce tailored upper and lower zone effects from a single prompt. The light is equipped with eight “Iconic Wonders” scenes that recreate a color palette inspired by natural landscapes for an immersive experience.

Aside from its customizable settings, the 2 Pro is designed for seamless installation across real-world residential rooflines. It comes with an independently controlled Y-shaped connector, which lets two branched light strings run completely different colors, effects, and algorithms within one system. This offers you true zone-to-zone control for complex roof layouts.

Similar to its sister design, the Permanent Outdoor Light 2 Pro comes with cuttable, linkable, and extendable strings, helping adapt to different roof dimensions without ruining the whole set. Its vertical dual-layer LED arrangement needs only 6 cm (2.3 inches) of eave depth.

You can cut, extend, remove, flip, and reinstall the detachable snap-on light heads without damaging the walls or eaves, adding some flexibility to a permanent design. This allows for flexible DIY installations, where your ideas stay in the limelight, pun intended.

Since it is built for permanent use, the system combines IP68 light bodies and connectors, IP67 control components, and UV-resistant and V0 flame-retardant materials to ensure durability of the lights. With a lifespan of over 50,000 hours, the lights can operate between 30 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius.

For added convenience, the Permanent Outdoor Light 2 Pro features an industry-first 1000K-10000K ultra-wide color temperature. It has over 100 preset scenes, DreamView, Music Sync, Matter, Alexa, and Google Assistant support to make it suitable for everyday lighting, architectural highlights, and seasonal décor.
