AEW Dynamite Results (Aug. 19, 2026) As Omega, Ospreay Go Face To Face

All In London is just around the corner, so the final stretch of the build has been well underway. It continued on the Wednesday, Aug. 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, with the major show less than two weeks away.

It was a balanced mix of promos and matches throughout the night, from a backstage sitdown between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega to multiple Continental Challenge Cup matches, including Jon Moxley vs. Jay White and Nigel McGuinness vs. Hechicero.

All this, and more, went down on Dynamite from Baltimore:

AEW Dynamite Results For August 19, 2026

  • Will Ospreay, Henare and Francesco Akira def. Brian Cage, Rocky Romero and Lance Archer by pinfall.
  • Backstage, Kazuchika Okada says Kyle Fletcher should be ready to crown him when he wins the International Championship at All In.
  • Tony Schiavone welcomes Kyle Fletcher to the ring, and Fletcher says him keeping the gold is best for the Don Callis Family. He calls Konosuke Takeshita a coward, prompting Takeshita to come out and fight Fletcher before standing tall to close the segment.
  • Renee Young hosts Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega for a backstage sitdown. They talk about their history of facing each other in other wrestling companies.

Omega says Ospreay became the face of NJPW, but his name couldn’t sell seats at the Tokyo Dome like Omega’s could.

Ospreay mentions his experience wrestling in Japan during COVID and says Omega can’t compare it to what he did. He says people were starving and sheltered away before wrestling in front of intentionally silenced crowds. Omega questions whether the fans would’ve actually cheered for Ospreay if they were allowed in the building.

Omega says when Don Callis promised him championship gold, he had no reason not to believe Callis had his best interests in mind.

Ospreay says he still has scars from a past match with Omega and that Omega deserved to be disrespected when Ospreay came into his hometown and beat him. Ospreay says his victory over Omega meant nothing because Callis was involved. Omega says he forgives Ospreay but knows he’ll do anything to get on his level.

Omega says his diverticulitis forced him to become a better wrestler. He questions whether Ospreay is better after having his neck surgically repaired and whether he’s at the top of his game.

Ospreay says Omega has always seen him as a notch below. He says if he can’t beat the best version of Omega, he won’t deserve the win, and it means so much to him. He says there’s so much pressure on him to succeed at Wembley Stadium, and he’ll succeed where it matters most.

Omega says Ospreay will fail again in front of his country. Omega mentions Ospreay’s mother, which gets Ospreay out of his seat. Omega says he’ll respect Ospreay no matter what, but if Ospreay loses, his son may want a new hero.

  • TBS Championship Match
Maya World (c) def. Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida and Persephone by pinfall to retain the title.
  • Backstage, the Brawling Birds promise to take the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship from Divine Dominion.
  • Continental Challenge Cup Match
Jon Moxley def. Jay White by submission to advance to the semifinals.

After the match, the Dogs run to the ring to attack White before the Conglomeration make the save. However, Gabe Kidd makes his AEW return to attack Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly. Roderick Strong runs down to help them and gets taken out, but the AEW World Trios Champions, Bandido, Brody King and Adam Page, make the save.

Ricochet, the Demand and the Lethal Twist then come out to the stage. Page says they will not miss All In, so he challenges anyone out there to a match at Wembley Stadium.

  • Backstage, Maya World says that after retaining her TBS Championship, she’s not done yet. Willow Nightingale approaches and congratulates her, saying she’s a woman of her word. She says she promised World a title shot about a month ago if she had the AEW Women’s World Championship, so she’ll give her that opportunity on Saturday at Collision.
  • Jonathan Cruz, MJF’s “personal Spanish translator,” is in the ring. He says he’ll only say things in a language Andrade El Idolo can understand. Cruz says El Idolo will never be the real world champion. He also calls El Idolo a coward and says MJF is better than him.

El Idolo storms to the ring, and a match is suddenly made between him and Cruz.

  • Andrade El Idolo def. Jonathan Cruz by pinfall.

After the match, El Idolo demands that MJF come to the ring. Instead, MJF appears in a video from a pool on Long Island. He says he opted out of traveling to Baltimore, and the next time El Idolo sees him, he’ll be looking at the lights at Wembley Stadium because he decided to mess with the “one true champion.”

  • Renee Paquette welcomes Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale for an interview, with all three in separate locations. Mone says she beat Nightingale enough last week and will end her once and for all. Nightingale says she’s still smiling because she has the fans. She says Mone has spent so much time trying to be perfect, while Nightingale has simply been herself through the wins and losses, giving her the connection with the fans that Mone doesn’t have. Mone says Nightingale took her TBS title and put her face in a cake, calls her a bully and vows to take her title at Wembley Stadium.

They leave their interview spots, find each other and start fighting. The brawl spills into the venue and around the ring until security breaks them up.

  • Backstage, Swerve Strickland questions Adam Page saying anyone can challenge for the Trios Championship and tells him he shouldn’t say it if he doesn’t mean it.
  • Continental Challenge Cup Match
Nigel McGuinness def. Hechicero by submission to advance to the semifinals.
  • A video package plays of Darby Allin talking about what he learned from Sting and how Kevin Knight has changed. He says he’ll beat Knight within an inch of his life.
  • Tony Schiavone welcomes Kevin Knight to the ring. Knight yanks the microphone away and says Schiavone is making him uncomfortable with all the questions. He says despite everyone’s questions, he has answers. He says he’s a grown man and the greatest TNT Champion ever before telling Darby Allin to come to the ring.

Knight makes Allin prove he has no weapons on him. He says Baltimore isn’t worthy of seeing him fight but tells Allin to come to the ring. When he does, the pyro malfunctions, allowing Knight to attack him outside the ring. Knight hits a Coast to Coast to end the segment. Medical personnel come down to check on Allin, including Steven Borden, Sting’s son.

  • Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks vs. Mark Davis, Jake Doyle and El Clon. Before the match, Omega and Will Ospreay have a heated exchange backstage.

After the match, RPG Vice and Lance Archer attack Omega and the Jacksons. Adam Copeland makes the save for the babyfaces, while Christian Cage walks down to help him out.

Will Ospreay comes to the ring and confronts Omega over what he said about his seven-year-old son. Omega demands that security come to the ring to remove him, and as Ospreay walks away, Omega insults him, causing Ospreay to run back into the ring and start a brawl. Omega hits Ospreay with a V-Trigger, tells him to take one last look at the world title and hits him with the One-Winged Angel through a table to end the show.
