Blueberries, Guacamole, Granola: See List of Recent Food Recalls
From snacks and produce to eggs and meat, recent recalls are affecting products across every food group.
While a widespread jalapeño recall and linked salmonella outbreak is top of mind for many consumers, other at-risk items could still be lingering in kitchens.
Cyclosporiasis, another foodborne illness that has made headlines this summer, led to an extensive lettuce recall in July. Some impacted items had “best if used by” dates as late as early August.
Similarly, more than 1 million eggs were recalled last month for potential salmonella contamination. Those products had best-buy dates through Aug. 17.
Anyone who purchased a recalled food item should discard it. Here’s a look at food items recalled recently.
Jalapeños, Guacamole and Salsa Recalled
Products including various jalapeños, guacamole, salsas and dips were recalled across dozens of states in connection with an ongoing salmonella outbreak.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention linked the outbreak to jalapeños grown in Sinaloa, Mexico, and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors.
The affected products were sent to restaurants and distributors in the United States, including Chipotle and Qdoba, which pulled jalapeños from their locations. Grocery stores also recalled guacamole and salsas that may contain jalapeños.
Some recalls were initiated at different times, but all were linked to the jalapeño salmonella outbreak. The article’s source listed the following Hardie’s Fresh Foods/Dairyland product:
- Jalapeños sold at Costco locations in Dallas and Stafford, Texas. They were produced by Dairyland Produce and repacked by Hardie’s Fresh Foods; labels may still read “Dairyland Produce.” Lot codes were X2741775, X2741859, X2744163, X2744706, X2746349, X2746490 and X2748743, with production dates from July 11 through July 22, 2026.

More Recalled Produce and Meat
Blueberries and frozen mixed berries sold at Publix locations in eight states were recalled last month after being linked to an E. coli outbreak, according to the FDA. The products were 10- and 48-ounce GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries and GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries, with UPCs 41415-06453, 41415-12053, 41415-06753 and 41415-12153. They were sold in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
About 29,628 pounds of raw beef products imported from Argentina were recalled in Florida and Texas because they entered the United States without required inspection. The products had use-by or freeze-by dates of Sept. 15-20 and establishment number “EST. N° OF. 2025” with shipping mark “26644-AA.” The recalled cuts included top sirloin butt, eye round, topside cap off, flat and knuckle.
Frozen Foods, Soup and Pantry Items
Some Outshine Fruit Bars distributed nationwide were voluntarily recalled because they may be contaminated with glass. The affected batches had best-before dates ranging from June 2027 to November 2027, but the feed body did not include a complete product list.
Kettle Cuisine recalled 3,240 Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup kits sold at Walmart because of possible listeria contamination. They were sold between June 30 and July 7 in multiple states and came in 14-ounce wrapped trays with UPC No. 194346474004 and an expiration date of Aug. 22, 2026.
Frankie’s Organic recalled 4-ounce bags of Organic Plant-Based Vegan Cheddar Puffs because they may contain undeclared milk. They were sold at PCC Markets in Washington and Earth Fare stores in Florida and South Carolina, with UPC No. 816929000089 and a “best if used by” date of May 16, 2027.
Vitasia Asian Style Wok Spice Mix, sold at Lidl stores, was recalled over potential salmonella contamination. The products were sold in several states between July 24 and Aug. 10 and have UPC No. 4335619355491, lot No. 155846 and a best-by date of June 2028.
The Hampton Grocer recalled 8-ounce pouches of granola for lactation support because of possible salmonella contamination. The affected lot codes were HGLC-102125, expiring Oct. 21, 2026, and HGLC-021326, expiring Feb. 13, 2027.
Pickled Products Recalled Nationwide
Indus Foods, doing business as Gangothri Foods, recalled 1,626 pounds of ready-to-eat pickled goat and chicken products on Aug. 17 because they did not undergo required inspections. The products were made between Jan. 28, 2025, and May 6, 2026, and have a two-year shelf life.
