LG to Showcase New Fit & Max Appliances at IFA 2026
Embodied AI will take center stage at IFA 2026, as CEO Leif Lindner told Homecrux in an exclusive interview. Another early highlight comes from the consumer electronics giant LG, which is expanding its Fit & Max Solution to refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers. These appliances demonstrate how Fit & Max integrates seamlessly into the home without compromising performance.
LG says the “Fit Space” helps appliances blend seamlessly into their surroundings, while “Max Life” maximizes capacity, performance, efficiency, and convenience within the available space. The LG Fit & Max refrigerators combine Zero Clearance with Thin Door design and a flat exterior, allowing them to be placed close to walls or nearby cabinetry for a sleek look. The space-conscious, integrated design has earned them the 2026 iF Design Award and the 2026 Red Dot Award.
Inside, the refrigerators come with Dual FRESHConverter+ and Full Convert Drawer, which provide up to three adjustable temperature zones, allowing users to adjust storage conditions to different food types. The AI Fresh feature learns usage patterns over three weeks and uses this data to optimize cooling operation for more consistent and stable storage conditions.
LG is also extending Fit & Max solution across its laundry lineup, including washing machines, dryers and garment care solutions. This is achieved through slide-in installation and flat, minimal designs that allow the appliances to seamlessly align with surrounding cabinetry and blend into the laundry room.
Despite being space-conscious, these machines combine an enhanced internal structure with DD motor-based inverter control to minimize vibrations and maximize internal space. This allows for a larger drum and greater washing capacity without increasing the footprint. AI Wash and AI Dry features detect load characteristics to automatically adjust cycle settings to reduce the time, energy, and physical effort.

The LG Fit & Max dishwashers feature a flush-fit design that helps you create a clean look around the kitchen cabinetry. For maximizing performance, they come with an ultra-convenient 1-hour Wash & Dry cycle, as well as AI SenseClean, which detects the soil level of each load to automatically optimize cleaning effectiveness.
The expanded Fit & Max refrigerators, laundry solutions and dishwashers will be presented together in a dedicated Fit & Max Solution zone at LG’s booth at Messe Berlin.
