Beauer X8 Travel Trailer Expands Triple its Size for Livable Space
The French camper manufacturer Beauer, known for expandable travel trailers, has unveiled its largest model yet at the 2026 Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf. Named Beauer X8, this travel trailer utilizes the signature patented telescopic technology for expanding to triple its size at the push of a button. Interestingly, the expanded trailer can comfortably accommodate up to eight people.
The Beauer X8 trailer measures approximately 21.8 feet long, 6.7 feet wide, and 9.5 feet high in the unfolded state. Its main body expands to around 15.7 feet wide to create more living space inside. The unfolding mechanism works on a telescopic principle, which allows two modules to be extended horizontally to triple the living space.
As soon as you press the button on the rear for 60 seconds, the electric cylinders are activated to start the transformation process. Beauer has designed the interior layout so cleverly that the furniture gets nested together in the folded position and automatically moves into place during the unfolding process.
After unfolding, Beauer X8 offers a split design with dedicated functional zones. There are two floor plans with a similar layout. The first design separates the kitchen more from the main living area, while the second design brings the kitchen closer to the central living space. Another difference is the single-bedroom configuration.

The travel trailer features two large bed spaces located at the top. Both bedrooms each feature a 63 x 78.7 inches double bed with a comfortable foam mattress. The two sleeping areas are separated by a two-compartment walk-in closet that will make you feel like a real home.
As you enter, you find two separate L-shaped seating areas in the lower section. One of them is a sleeper sofa that can also be used for additional sleeping space, while there is no mention of whether the second one with a dining table will also serve as a bed. The kitchen is located in the middle-left section and includes a large 190-liter refrigerator, a sink, and a freestanding electric or gas cooktop, along with plenty of storage space, as well as space for a dishwasher or oven. Next is the bathroom with a cassette toilet, a vanity unit with storage and a sink with a mirror, as well as a shower stall.
The interior space is well equipped with electrical outlets and lights, while Beauer offers plenty of options like AC, heating, dishwasher, TV, washing machine, battery, etc., to ensure comfortable living on the road. Looking at the large amount of space it offers, it is highly suitable for big families.
The fully equipped expandable travel trailer weighs 2,600 kg (5,732 lbs) and has a payload capacity of 100 kg (220 lbs), giving it a gross vehicle weight rating of 2,700 kg (5,952 lbs). When folded up, the travel trailer can be compared to a conventional car, which will facilitate roadholding and reduce wind resistance.
